Himmatwala (1983 film)

Himmatwala is a 1983 Bollywood Hindi produced by G. Hanumantha Rao by Padmalaya Studios, presented by Krishna amp directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. Starring Jeetendra, Sridevi in the lead roles and music composed by Bappi Lahri. The film is a remake of Telugu Movie Ooriki Monagadu 1981, starring Krishna and Jaya Prada in lead roles. The film recorded as Industry Hit at box office, grossing 12,00,00,000. Himmatwala is one of the biggest blockbusters of the 80s.

A remake of the film starring Ajay Devgn and Tamannaah in lead roles and directed by Sajid Khan, released under the same title onMarch 2013. The movie opened to negative reviews and was declared a Flop at the Box office.
